Nothing makes me feel as connected to life as that mysterious space of dialogue between day and night. An almost dreamlike transition in which the world seems suspended between two realities.
Shadows lengthen, colors fade, and shapes lose that sharpness that, just moments ago, allowed us to recognize them easily. The landscape gradually transforms until it is reduced to what is truly essential, becoming a dance of intuitions and suggestions. The various elements of nature—rocks, trees, bushes, and animals—come together as silhouettes. We cease to look for specific forms and begin to perceive presences. We no longer know for certain what lies before us, but in a way, we don’t feel the need to know either.
Twilight invites us to embrace uncertainty, to remain in that fragile and enigmatic space that unfolds in the darkness. Here, life speaks to us through a different language. We surrender to the pleasure of letting this canvas of shadows explain to us everything we did not know about the world around us—and about ourselves as well.
